Every GlobeWanderAfrica journey is supported by people who understand the destination, the itinerary and the kind of welcoming group experience we want our travellers to enjoy.
Depending on the trip, your journey may be hosted by Mercy Nia Sigida, Noxolo Gigaba or a trusted local host based at the destination. GlobeWanderAfrica works with people and service providers the team knows and has worked with before.
Your confirmed trips host and any relevant local guides will be introduced before departure, so you will know who is accompanying and supporting you throughout the experience.
Mercy Nia Sigida
Mercy is the founder and one of the trips hosts behind GlobeWanderAfrica. She has explored African destinations solo, with her daughter, siblings and other family members, on girls’ trips and with groups of travellers who sometimes began their journeys as strangers. Mercy uses her first-hand travel experience to curate affordable hosted trips that make exploring Africa feel more accessible, welcoming and manageable. Her long-term dream is to visit every capital city in Africa while helping more people experience the continent along the way.
Nomvuyo Muravha
Nomvuyo brings together her love for marketing and passion for travel to connect explorers from around the world with the beauty of Africa. From sorting the details to connecting with adventurers abroad, as co-host, she helps turn trips into stories worth sharing. Her travel journey began right here in South Africa, where discovering hidden gems and diverse cultures sparked a curiosity to see even more of the continent. What excites her most is sharing that same spark with others, whether through a well-planned itinerary or a warm welcome on a trip.
Noxolo Gigaba
Born and raised in Soweto, Noxolo has journeyed through Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Namibia, and she is only getting started. With a love for connecting people and places, Noxolo helps travellers feel welcomed, supported and part of the group. She is on a mission to explore more of the world while helping others create meaningful travel stories of their own. As a GlobeWanderAfrica trips host, Noxolo may accompany selected departures, support the group and help coordinate the planned travel experience.

Before departure, travellers receive clear information about their confirmed trip’s host, local guides, included activities and support arrangements.
